About this experience partner:

Ian has been around the lake life since before he could walk. He learned to waterski from his family at the age of 6 and has been hooked on boating and watersports ever since. By the age of 12, Ian was able to save up enough money to purchase his first ski boat and would spend every available moment on the lake with family, friends and his chocolate lab named Maggie. After introducing many people to the lake life, Ian knew that he wanted to share his passion for the water with many more. After paying for dockage fees, insurance, maintenance, gear, and seeing many other boaters frustrated with the amount of time and money it would take just to get out on the water, Ian knew that a hassle-free boating and watersports experience was needed.

At the age of 18, Ian tested and became a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain in addition to becoming certified in first aid and CPR. During the summers home from college, Ian began and grew his first startup, Connecticut Watersports that began in 2019.

After graduating from Arizona State University in 2022 and spending much time in Arizona, Ian decided to launch the second location, Snowbird Watersports on Saguaro Lake. Saguaro lake offers fun on the boat year round and has some of the best views while still being located so close to the Phoenix area.

Things to Know:

• Our charters are great for all ages and no experience is required for those looking to do watersports, our captains are happy to instruct as well.
• Due to our insurance policy, guests are welcome to BYOB if no one will be going in the water, and we are cruising & sightseeing on the boat. If guests will be swimming or engaging in tubing & watersports we are not permitted to have alcohol onboard. We keep a cooler onboard with water for guests.
• Feel free to bring snacks and food! Things that won't leave a mess behind are appreciated.
• We keep a few kids and adult sized wetsuits onboard for chillier days! We take guests tubing year round and can do our best to make for a relatively dry tube ride if requested.
• Our boat has a good amount of shade for warmer days
• We meet at the public boat dock 1, we are NOT located in the Saguaro Lake Marina! On weekends from April- October we recommend an early start time or arranging a ride ahead of time since the public parking area can close down once it has reached capacity. This can often happen by 930 am when the weather is nice.
• Tonto forest parking permit required for vehicles. $12 purchased at the gate or $8 purchased at 3rd party locations. There are restrooms near the public boat dock.
