  This is not your average historical French Quarter tour. This 90 minute walking tour is only given by tour guides who have generations of family ties in the New Orleans area. In 1718 a teenager plunged a flag into the ground and founded La Nouvelle Orleans. Ever since then New Orleans has been at the forefront of almost everything, good and bad. Whether it be legalized prostitution, the creation of Jazz music, Mardi Gras parades, original cuisine, America’s first cocktail, or the multitude of floods and hurricanes, we have always been in the headlines. Those stories just scratch the surface. The full history of New Orleans could fill volumes and still never be told in full. Walk along with our local guides who can tell you the recent history firsthand and the old history through the words of their own ancestors who lived the history themselves.
