More than just dates and facts, you will hear the true and fascinating stories behind the events that make up Charleston’s history. During the approximately 90 minute guided history tour, Discover Charleston!, your fearless tour guide will bring history alive while on a 1.5 mile route through the French Quarter and South of Broad Street. Among the many beautiful sights on this walk, you will see Rainbow Row, White Point Gardens, St. Phillip’s Church, St. Michael’s Church, beautiful mansions on the Battery, the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon, and the Old Slave Mart Museum. You will hear stories of the courageous struggles and resilience of the early people of Charleston, including some famous American heroes and notorious villains, as they faced pirates, wars, sieges, fires, earthquakes, and hurricanes.
