Fairy Hair (a/k/a Hair Tinsel) is safe to shampoo, curl or straighten, color, and even perm! It typically lasts 2-6 weeks, often much longer. That said, when it comes to FH, there are no guarantees! It will last until the hair it’s attached to falls out. However, every knot is checked so that it doesn't slip, so when your FH falls out, the head hair will be attached. We also make sure only one strand of hair is in the knot; a second strand will cause the brush to catch, yanking it out.

So - for long-lasting results, here’s what we recommend:

1. Show up with hair freshly washed and brushed. This will help eliminate any strands with weak follicles ready to fall out.

“How many pieces do people usually get?”
The majority of gals select 8-12 knots (16-24 strands). So for example, 10 knots would be placed four on each side, and two in the back.

“16 - 24 strands sounds like a lot.”
Not to worry. We tie them in “Peek-a-Boo” fashion: under a light layer of hair, so they peek in + out with movement. This creates a “look twice” effect. You will delight, and be delighted!

“How long does it take?”
Once you’ve decided on your colors (each person may select up to three), it takes about 10 minutes per person. When factoring in total time, remember to add 20 minutes for set up + break down.
