Elevate and Expand: Yoga and Tarot Day Retreat

Are you looking to build a connection in a meaningful way that doesn’t involve drinking? Look no further, this 3-hour retreat offers an in-depth yoga practice, meditation, tarot readings with the philosophy and history of tarot, cacao ceremony, crystal offerings, and culminates with a fire release ceremony. We’ll use various sounds, fragrances, and breathing exercises to center our minds to find ease through this retreat.

About this experience partner:

Reagan Sobel, E-RYT 200 / RYT 500, has been practicing yoga regularly since 2016 and teaching since 2019. Her style of yoga is rooted in creative movement designed to build flexibility and strength. She is passionate about helping students to expand their mindfulness and spiritual practice to transcend the limits of what they thought they could accomplish. When she is not practicing or teaching yoga, you can find her spending time in the sun or traveling to a new place.

James Burns, RYT 200, is an author, tarot reader, and yoga teacher who loves to dive into deep conversations by discussing questions like, “If you could give your childhood self advice, what would you tell yourself,” “What’s the most challenging thing you’ve overcome,” and “if your life was a book, what would the title of your story be?” In 2016 he got a one-way ticket abroad and spent a year living on farms and working odd jobs in exchange for food and a place to sleep. During his travels he interviewed people all over the Earth through Europe, Morocco, Uganda, Dubai, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Australia, and New Zealand.

Location: We’ll come to your home/Airbnb (optional: we’ll offer a space to welcome the group if needed - additional charge).

Schedule: The retreat experience begins with a cacao ceremony and a creative prompt to open and explore what holds us back. From here, we’ll begin to map a path toward our highest purpose, deepest calling, and most passionate endeavors by exploring movement and breathing through a Vinyasa yoga flow to align the body, mind, and spirit. We’ll be led into deep relaxation with lavender towels and binaural beats to calm our nervous system into an easeful state. After savasana, we’ll explore a guided meditation and breathwork practice followed by a hydrating mocktail as we prepare to awaken the senses before we ask the universe the questions that matter most. We’ll use tarot, oracle cards, and runes to guide our Higher Self so that we can release the things that no longer serve us. During this, we’ll select a crystal to pair with our unique energy before we finish the retreat with a fire ceremony. During the fire ceremony, we’ll write down the things that no longer serve us and burn away these ideas until they turn to ash.
